What XFree86 driver is needed for the Elsa Gloria L cards?

Use the 3Dlabs driver - you may have to set the link, as root, manually like this (in RedHat): 

   ln -s /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_3DL /etc/X11/X
Be sure to download and install the server first. You can get it from

ftp.xfree86.org/pub/XFree86/3.3.3.1/binaries/Linux-ix86-glibc/Servers/X3DL.tgz

Please note that the Elsa Gloria 8 uses the XF86_S3V server - quite a difference!
